SALON OPERATION 1 will provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge including skills on the concept of salon operation, salon stock and inventory and basic marketing for promotional materials. Students will also learn to do effective copywriting for salon promotional materials. Finally, all these three elements are essential for the students to face the actual needs in the industry during work-based learning later.

BARBER CUTS requires students to acquire knowledge and skills about men haircuts. In this course, students will be provided with knowledge of tools, materials and cutting techniques used in the hairdressing industry. Moreover, this course will also provide students to practice barber cut as well as consultations in accordance with industry requirement while taking this course.

HAIR SHAMPOOING AND CONDITIONING requires hairdressing students to acquire foundational theoretical knowledge and practical skills, in hair shampooing and conditioning, styling, and blow-drying. ADVANCE WOMEN HAIRCUTS course gives student knowledge and skills about woman haircuts. Through this course, students will gain exposure to the knowledge of tools, materials and cutting techniques used in the hairdressing industry. Students will also practice woman haircuts as well as consultations in accordance with industry requirements.

HAIR HIGHLIGHTING is a course created to convey knowledge and skills in theory
and practice of hair colouring. It includes the initial preparation of doing hair highlights.
Students will be explained about the functions, methods of selection and care of the tools
and materials. Student will be exposed to 3 different methods of highlighting which are
Hair Bleaching Method, Highlight Method with Foil and Highlight Method with Cap.
Students will be able to use appropriate methods based on customer’s hair features with
proper tools and materials. The main focus is the student will be able to follow the
colouring techniques according to hair types.

BASIC HAIR PERMING is a course that provide students with basic theoretical and practical knowledge and skills about tools, materials, and techniques of hair perming. It includes initial preparation, recognizing the tools and materials, and identifying the materials used in perming basic hair shape, brickworks, double rod, and piggyback. Students will be exposed to various techniques such as hair parting, hair perming, applying protective cream and applying perming lotion on the hair. Perming practical training is going to be the main focus of this course.
